Orange Avenue Widening From Adams Street to Springhill Road

Overview
This project will connect downtown commercial areas and FAMU to Capital Circle via the Airport Gateway Springhill Road project. The widening also improves an important east-west route for both automobiles and bicycles. A multi-use path would run the length of the corridor, enhancing access to the St. Marks Bike Trail and the Capital Cascades Trail.
Widens Orange Avenue to four lanes from Adams Street to Springhill Road.
Enhances the aesthetics of the corridor with additional landscaping.
Increases pedestrian and bicycle access with sidewalks and a multi-use path.
Estimated Cost: $33.1 million
Enhances the water quality of the Southside area by treating roadway runoff.
